Acclaimed for her extraordinary lyricism, technique and versatility, multiple Grammy Award winner Sharon Isbin was named the 2020 Musical America Worldwide Instrumentalist of the Year, the first guitarist ever to receive the coveted honor in its 59 year history. Soloist with over 200 orchestras, Isbin has performed in the world’s finest halls. She has premiered over 80 works written for her by some of the world’s finest composers, and directs the guitar departments at the Aspen Music Festival and the Juilliard School. We are honored and delighted that she will join our March 3 Salon by Zoom.

Please note: this Salon will not include a livestream of a performance. Instead, participants are asked to watch in advance a 90-minute video, entitled Troubadour (available to stream for free here via Prime Video), and come prepared to ask questions.

This virtual program is presented by Beacon Hill Village’s Music Salon series. Registration required online in advance here or by calling Beacon Hill Village at 617-723-9713. Registrants will receive the Zoom invitation information in advance of the program. Free and open to the public.
