Movie Discussion Group: Rashomon (4:00)

Monday, August 17 from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Join Beacon Hill Village member Joan Doucette for a small group discussion about the film Rashomon (1950), which is available to rent on Amazon Prime for $3.99.

The discussion will take place via Zoom on Monday, August 17 from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Members are encouraged to watch Rashomon on Amazon Prime prior to joining the conversation. Registration is required.

A riveting psychological thriller that investigates the nature of truth and the meaning of justice, Rashomon is widely considered one of the greatest films ever made. Four people give different accounts of a man’s murder and the rape of his wife, which director Akira Kurosawa presents with striking imagery and an ingenius use of flashbacks.

Note that participation may be limited to facilitate an in-depth, small group discussion. Participation is “first come, first serve.”  BHV members only. Free.
