Music Salon with Philip Setzer (5:30)
Sunday, September 13 at 5:30 p.m.
In a program created especially for our salon series, Philip Setzer, founding violinist of the legendary Emerson String Quartet, will describe for us what were for him the most memorable moments in the 40 years of the quartet’s existence. Before the program all participants are invited to listen to the Adagio movement of the Emerson String Quartet's Schubert String Quintet in C Major, performed with Rostropovich, which Philip will describe during our virtual gathering. He will happily answer any questions we have about that particular performance and anything else we may wish to know. In addition, we encourage those who may wish to observe the class to watch a master class Philip gave at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
BHV members and their guests only. Free. This program will be held virtually on Zoom.
