Cara Bender and Leona Cheung present a concert of American Art Songs and Musical Theater in tribute to Stephen Sondheim, with their exquisite collaboration and partnership in search of hope and joy in these trying times.

Beacon Hill Village is thrilled to welcome back the amazing soprano and piano duo of Cara Bender and Leona Cheung, who were both graduates of the New England Conservatory in Vocal Performance and Collaborative Piano respectively. Ms. Bender and Ms.Cheung have performed extensively in the Massachusetts area since 2018. Because of their passion in the Art Song repertoire, they were selected as Young Artist and appeared as a duo at the prestigious Leeds Lieder Festival in 2019.

The performance will be premiered via Youtube on 17 February at 5:30 p.m., followed by a post-concert conversation on Zoom at 6:15 p.m.

This virtual program is presented by Beacon Hill Village’s Music Salon series. Registration required online in advance here or by calling Beacon Hill Village at 617-723-9713. Registrants will receive the YouTube Premiere link and Zoom invitation information in advance of the program. Free and open to the public.
