Join us for this month's excursion to the Essex Shipbuilding Museum. The museum contains historical and demonstrative displays regarding the history of the wooden shipbuilding industry in Essex. Essex produced more wooden fishing schooners between 1668 and the twentieth century than anywhere else in America. The museum contains various ship models and half hulls including several on display from the Smithsonian Institution. Displays include antique shipbuilding tools, photos, and dioramas of the former shipyard.
ACCESSIBILITY
The museum can accommodate accessibility at their shipyard site. The main meeting location will be in the Waterline Center which is fully accessible. This and several other spaces in the shipyard are at ground level/outdoors or ramp access leading into the space.

This is a scheduled event that requires payment in advance. By registering for this event you are agreeing to pay the ticket price. Cancellations for this event will be nonrefundable and you will continue to be responsible for the ticket price unless another member registers for the event in your place.
