Ellen J. Langer, PhD is the first tenured Professor of Psychology at Harvard University.  Her research focuses on the illusion of control, aging, health, decision-making, and mindfulness theory. Dr. Langer has published over 200 research articles and six academic books. Her work has led to numerous academic honors including one from the American Psychological Association whose citation reads, “...her pioneering work revealed the profound effects of increasing mindful behavior… Ellen Langer has demonstrated repeatedly how our limits are of our own making."
