Travel by train with Joan Doucette to see PEM’s Nature's Nation: American Art and Environment, the first exhibition to trace environmental awareness in American art over the last three centuries. More than 100 works by such artists as John James Audubon, Albert Bierstadt, Thomas Cole, Valerie Hegarty, Winslow Homer, and Georgia O’Keeffe compel us to reconsider the relationships between art, the environment, and ourselves. Meet at the North Station Commuter Rail at 10:15 a.m. for the 10:35 a.m. train to Salem (estimated arrival 11:07 a.m.) First, we’ll have lunch at Turner’s Seafood and then head over to the museum for our 1:00 p.m docent-led tour. Return to North Station on the 3:26 p.m. train (estimated return is 4:00 p.m.)  BHV members and their guests: $20 ($5 for PEM members). Price covers PEM admission and tour. Lunch and train fare ($7.50 round-trip) are pay individually.
