Years before they were commissioned by Harvard University to make the “Glass Flowers,” father and son artists Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka meticulously shaped glass into lifelike models of marine animals. Delicate anemones, octopus, tentacled squid, and bizarre-looking sea creatures captured in glass are a sparkling testament to the Blaschka legacy. Exhibition adjoins the duo’s better-known “Glass Flowers.” Admission free for MA residents 3-5 pm Wednesdays. Bring ID. Meet at Charles/MGH at 2:30 p.m. for the ride to Harvard and 4/10 mile walk to the Museum. BHV members and guests.
