Movie Discussion Group: Unorthodox (4:00)

Monday, August 31 from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Join Beacon Hill Village member Joan Doucette for a small group discussion about the miniseries Unorthodox (2020), which is available to stream on Netflix

The discussion will take place via Zoom on Monday, August 31 from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Members are encouraged to watch all 4 episodes of Unorthodox on Netflix prior to joining the conversation. Registration is required.

Inspired by Deborah Feldman’s memoir, Unorthodox (2020) tells the story of Etsy, a young girl born and raised in a New York hasidic community who struggles after a fruitless first year of marriage. She runs away to Berlin and finds new freedom.

Note that participation may be limited to facilitate an in-depth, small group discussion. Participation is “first come, first serve.”  BHV members only. Free.
