Dana Siles is the New England Coordinator for Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, a national non-profit food rescue organization, operating in 16 cities that provides solutions to prevent excess wholesome cuisine from being wasted. Siles manages the organization’s New England volunteer teams that recover excess fresh and prepared food from local Boston businesses and bring it to nearby non-profits who then donate it to people in need. Siles will discuss issues of food insecurity in the U.S., solutions to the problem, and highlight local opportunities to volunteer as a food rescuer. Meet at Beacon House, 19 Myrtle Street, Community Room. BHV members and their guests. Free.
